Smoked Salmon Spread
Description
Feel free to put this on everything – though obviously it’s tastiest on a bit of baguette or good pumpernickel. Borrowed pretty much exactly from Ina Garten’s, ‘Barefoot Contessa, Family Style’, it’s an easy, make-ahead appetizer that everyone will want the recipe for. Enjoy!
Ingredients
Smoked Salmon Spread
1 package/8 oz/250g cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. sour cream
2 t. lemon juice
1 T. fresh minced dill
1 t. prepared horseradish (I used ‘hot’)
1/2 t. salt and 1/4 t. freshly ground pepper
4 oz. + smoked salmon, minced (I regularly use more! I’ve also tried it both with lox and Brock’s Smoked Salmon and we love it either way!)
Instructions
Using your electric mixer, beat the cream cheese until it’s smooth, then add in the sour cream, lemon juice, dill, horseradish, salt and pepper and give it a good mix. Stir in the smoked salmon, scrape it all into a serving dish, cover tightly and chill for at least a couple of hours before serving.
