Negroni (with variations)

  • Author: Meagan

Description

An Italian classic that we’ve played around with a lot – below is what we like best, based on several taste tests with friends – enjoy!

Ingredients

Scale

Equal parts of 3 ingredients! That’s it!

1 oz. (1 part) Campari

1 oz. (1 part) Gin – we really enjoy Plymouth Gin, but swapping out different gins really changes the flavor.  Our favorite full swap is actually Mezcal – it doesn’t have to be a pricy one, but it should really be smoky for a wonderful flavor hit – we’ve been using Sombra Mezcal Artesanal.

1 oz. (1 part) sweet red Vermouth – we love Antica Formula

orange peel for garnish

Instructions

Stir all 3 ingredients with ice and strain into an old-fashioned glass over ice (though ideally one large cube).  Garnish and serve!
