Our Ideal Daiquiri

  • Author: Meagan

Perhaps the summer of 2020 cocktail?  Also from the ‘Cocktail Codex’, by Alex Day, Nick Fauchald and David Kaplan, this is a ‘base cocktail’ – below are listed our favorites rums, and we highly recommend you source them out!

For one drink;

1 3/4 oz.  Plantation 3 Stars (Spanish-style rum)

1/4 oz. Agricole white rum (French-style rum – this may be difficult to find at the moment so Clement Agricole VSOP is a good substitute, it’s just not clear)

1 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice

1/2 oz. simple syrup (equal parts white sugar and water by weight, stirred together until sugar has dissolved)

lime wedge for garnish

Shake all ingredients with ice, then strain into a chilled coupe.  Garnish with a lime wedge!
