Granola (Nut and Seed)

  • Author: Meagan
  • Total Time: 55 Minutes

Description

Gluten-free naturally! Borrowed from the Food Network, this is yet another tasty granola in our rotation, and not very sweet which we also love – enjoy!

Ingredients

Scale

Granola (Nut and Seed)

2 T. EACH maple syrup AND olive oil

1 c. broken up almonds (or sliced, or slivered)

1/2 c. EACH chopped pecans AND unsweetened coconut

1/4 c. sunflower seeds

1 T. EACH sesame seeds AND ground flaxseed.

pinch of kosher salt

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 325 and line a large baking sheet with parchment. In a large bowl, whisk together the maple syrup and olive oil and then add in the remaining ingredients and use a spatula to stir well to coat.

Spread the mixture evenly out onto your prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, then take it out, give it a careful stir and bake for another 10 to 15. At this point all should be golden in color, but if you like your granola crunchier, then bake for an extra 10 minutes or so. All in, I baked (and stirred) for 20 minutes, then 15 minutes, then 10 minutes.

Allow the granola to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
