Champagne is delightful in oh so many ways! We’ve enjoyed this while out a few times but to make it at home, we adapted our recipe from, ‘The Essential Cocktail’, by Dale DeGroff.
French 75 – makes 1
1 oz. gin (or cognac)
1/2 oz. EACH simple syrup AND freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 oz. champagne (dry)
spiral lemon peel for garnish
Combine the gin, simple syrup and lemon juice with some ice in a shaker and shake well. Strain into a pretty glass, top with the champagne and garnish with the lemon peel – enjoy!
