brown sugar<\/p>\n<p><span data-amount=\"1\">1<\/span> T. molasses<\/p>\n<p><span data-amount=\"1\">1<\/span> c. ice cubes<\/p>\n<p>Pour <span data-amount=\"3.5\">3 1\/2<\/span> c. of water into a large bowl and add the salt, sugar and molasses and stir until all are dissolved.\u00a0 Stir in the ice and then carefully add the pork chops.\u00a0 Cover with plastic wrap, add a plate over top to keep the chops submerged, and refrigerate immediately.\u00a0 Marinate for <span data-amount=\"4\">4<\/span>&#8211;<span data-amount=\"6\">6<\/span> hours for thick chops, less if the chops are thin.<\/p>\n<p><em>Pork Chops<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span data-amount=\"8\">8<\/span> bone-in, pork loin chops, 1\/2 to 1 inch thick &#8211; brined for <span data-amount=\"4\">4<\/span>&#8211;<span data-amount=\"6\">6<\/span> hours!<\/p>\n<p><span data-amount=\"0.25\">1\/4<\/span> c. sweet paprika<\/p>\n<p><span data-amount=\"1\">1<\/span> T. minced garlic<\/p>\n<p><span data-amount=\"1\">1<\/span> t. dried oregano<\/p>\n<p><span data-amount=\"0.25\">1\/4<\/span> c. red wine vinegar<\/p>\n<p><span data-amount=\"1\">1<\/span> T. olive oil<\/p>\n<p><span data-amount=\"1\">1<\/span> t. <strong>EACH<\/strong> salt <strong>AND<\/strong> freshly ground pepper<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\n\t\t\t<hr data-tasty-recipes-customization=\"secondary-color.border-color secondary-color.background-color\">\n\t\n\t\t<div class=\"tasty-recipes-instructions\">\n\t\t<div class=\"tasty-recipes-instructions-header\">\n\t\t\t<h3 data-tasty-recipes-customization=\"h3-color.color h3-transform.text-transform\">Instructions<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div data-tasty-recipes-customization=\"body-color.color\">\n\t\t\t<p id=\"instruction-step-1\">Once the chops are brined, dry them a bit with some paper towel and place them onto a large baking sheet &#8211; discard the brine.\u00a0 In a small bowl combine the 7 paste ingredients and mix well and then using your hands, smear the paste generously over both sides of the chops.\u00a0 Allow them to sit at room for 30 minutes while you heat up the barbeque.<\/p>\n<p id=\"instruction-step-2\">When you&#8217;re ready to grill, use your hands again to scrape off as much paste as possible before laying the chops on the medium-hot barbeque, then grill until the chops are firm and the center is barely pink, a few minutes per side.\u00a0 We have an instant thermometer and this is another situation where it&#8217;s brilliant &#8211; you can remove the chops before they get dry! and the internal temperature should be 145 for medium (this can be after they&#8217;ve rested).\u00a0 Transfer the chops to a large platter and allow them to rest for a few minutes before tucking in &#8211; I&#8217;m sure we&#8217;ll be whipping these up a few more
