Frangelico liqueur<\/p>\n<p><span data-amount=\"0.5\">1\/2<\/span> c. ground hazelnuts<\/p>\n<p><span data-amount=\"4\" data-unit=\"oz\">4 oz<\/span>. bittersweet (or semi-sweet) baking chocolate, melted<\/p>\n<p>Preheat the oven to 350 and grease a 9 or 10-inch spring form pan, line it with parchment and grease the parchment.<\/p>\n<p>In a large bowl, whisk the egg whites and salt until they&#8217;re stiff, but not dry &#8211; I used my hand-held mixer.\u00a0 In a separate large bowl &#8211; I used my electric mixer &#8211; beat together the butter and Nutella until smooth, then add in the Frangelico, egg yolks and ground hazelnuts and mix well.\u00a0 Fold in the cooled, melted chocolate, then stir in a scoop of egg whites.\u00a0 Finish off the batter by folding in the rest of the egg whites and then scrape it all into your prepared pan and bake for about 35 minutes until the cake starts to pull away from the sides of the pan and the center is set.\u00a0 Set the cake on a rack to cool.<\/p>\n<p><em>Icing<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span data-amount=\"0.5\">1\/2<\/span> c. whipping cream, hot (I microwaved it on low)<\/p>\n<p><span data-amount=\"4\" data-unit=\"oz\">4 oz<\/span>. bittersweet (or semi-sweet) baking chocolate, melted<\/p>\n<p><span data-amount=\"1\">1<\/span> T. able to flip it over onto my hand, quickly peel off the paper and set it on it&#8217;s serving plate &#8211; you decide.\u00a0 Smooth the icing over the top of the cake and drop on the toasted
