data-amount=\"0.75\">3\/4<\/span> c. sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt) <strong>AND<\/strong> 1\/4 t. almond extract<\/p>\n<p>~ 5 c. thickly sliced peeled peaches (about 5 large or 8 small)<\/p>\n<p><em>Topping<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span data-amount=\"0.5\">1\/2<\/span> c. <strong>EACH<\/strong> flour <strong>AND<\/strong> packed brown sugar<\/p>\n<p><span data-amount=\"0.25\">1\/4<\/span> c. cold butter, cubed<\/p>\n<p><span data-amount=\"100\" data-unit=\"g\">100 g<\/span> (~ <span data-amount=\"0.5\" data-unit=\"cup\">1\/2 cup<\/span>) slivered almonds<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\n\t\t\t<hr data-tasty-recipes-customization=\"secondary-color.border-color secondary-color.background-color\">\n\t\n\t\t<div h3-transform.text-transform\">Instructions<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div data-tasty-recipes-customization=\"body-color.color\">\n\t\t\t<p id=\"instruction-step-1\">Preheat the oven to 425 and have your pie shell ready.<\/p>\n<p id=\"instruction-step-2\"><em>To make the filling<\/em> &#8211; whisk together the sugar and flour in a large bowl, then add in the sour cream and almond extract and whisk until well combined.\u00a0 Add the peaches, stir well, and then scrape all of this goodness into your prepared pie shell.<\/p>\n<p id=\"instruction-step-3\"><em>To make the topping\u00a0<\/em>&#8211; whisk together the flour and brown sugar in a medium bowl and then use a pastry cutter to work in the butter until the mix is crumbly.\u00a0 Stir in the almonds and then evenly sprinkle and spread the topping over the peach filling.<\/p>\n<p id=\"instruction-step-4\">Bake for 15 minutes at 425 then reduce the heat to 350 and bake another 30 to 40 minutes.\u00a0 Keep an eye on it as it may begin to brown quickly in spots, but a piece of foil will sort that out.\u00a0 You want the topping a beautiful brown, the filling bubbling and the crust baked to a deep golden color.\u00a0 Allow the pie to come to room temperature before attempting to slice it, but do remember that no one will care what their piece looks
