Another delightful drink idea delivered to our front door. This recipe is by Dinah Kisil and freeze-dried strawberries are available thru Amazon – enjoy!
For one cocktail;
2 oz. rye whisky – we love Alberta Premium (we also dabbled with bourbon, but rye is definitely the way to go!)
4 freeze-dried strawberries
3/4 oz. EACH ginger syrup AND freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 full droppers of Aromatic Bitters
club soda to top off each glass
fresh springs of mint for garnish
Measure the rye and freeze-dried strawberries into your shaker, wait a minute or 2 and then gently muddle the berries. Add in the ginger syrup, lemon juice and Aromatic Bitters along with some ice and shake vigorously for 20 seconds.
Strain into a highball glass over fresh ice, top off with soda, squeeze a sprig of mint and rub it around the rim and then drop the mint into the cocktail to finish it off!
