Salami Wedges

  • Author: Meagan

Description

A blast from somewhere in the 70’s and a traditional Grey Cup appetizer…they tasted exactly as I remembered, but the girls wouldn’t touch them.  They needed to be posted though, if not for tradition, then because my brother loves them!  Recipe directly from Deanna’s files…enjoy!

Ingredients

Scale

Salami Wedges

2 packages (175 g) Schneider’s (sliced) beef salami

Filling

1 package/8 oz/250g cream cheese, softened

4 T. mayo

1 t. dry mustard

Instructions

Pat the salami slices dry with paper towel, and beat together the 3 filling ingredients until it’s smooth.  Spread a thin, even layer of filling between slices (I found it easiest to hold the stack on my hand and spin it like I was icing a cake), and using all of the above ingredients, you should be able to get 3, 7-layered stacks of filled salami.  Wrap each stack well with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least a couple of hours before slicing.  Slice into ‘pie’ pieces and toothpick them for easy eating.
