This is Brock’s recipe – he’s rather keen on cranberry sauce and I have to admit that a turkey or chicken sandwich is just plain boring now without it. Since fresh cranberries are in the stores again, I’ll probably have a few cranberry recipes coming up.
Brock’s Cranberry Sauce
3 c. fresh cranberries (1 bag, 12 oz/340 g)
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. EACH water AND orange juice
zest of one orange
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil while stirring. Simmer gently for 5 to 10 minutes, the cranberries should all pop and the sauce should thicken. Allow to cool before storing.
